Summer's here!  At the Classic service I will share a series of messages from the Minor Prophets.  I invite you to join me as we mine the gold from these often overlooked books in the Old Testament.

 

During this summer one of our major projects is the Terrace Heights makeover.  We are remodeling a trailer (# 97) in order to establish a house of refuge that will serve as a home for one of our members and a place where God's Word can be taught and lives can be transformed.  Don Ross is managing this project so if you would like to help with the project speak to Don.  We hope to complete the renovation by the end of the summer.

 

Our Youth will travel to Iowa again this year to attend the Youth Camp of the Iowa Baptist Convention at Buena Vista University.  After the week-long camp, Pastor Jackie will take the students to Lamoni where they will help First Baptist Church with its annual VBS and participate in several outreach activities.

 

We welcome Ben Hill (Jackie's cousin) who has come to Minnesota to serve as a Summer Missionary with duties as Jackie's intern.  Ben is a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis and a student at Mid-American seminary.  He will be with us through mid-August.

 

Pastor Joe will lead mission trips to Israel and Ireland, Craig and Metlakatla, Alaska, and Tucson, Arizona.  Also, He recently went back to active duty with the U.S. Army reserves at Ft. Snelling.  He will be a very busy man!

 

Our softball team is back at it.  Every Friday evening we're on the field -- usually at Mendakota Park in Mendota Heights.  Come watch us play.

 

This year's Vacation Bible School is the first week in August.  The theme is Western so mosey on over to the ranch and have a good time learning about Jesus!
