From My Heart to Yours
   

February promises to be a very significant and exciting month in the life of our congregation. On Wednesday evening, Feb. 15^th, Jackie and CarinaHill will be available for questions in anticipation of a vote to extend a call to Jackie to become our Pastor upon my retirement at the end of June.

 

The congregation will vote at the business meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 22^nd, to temporarily suspend the by-laws to permit a vote to extend a call to Jackie at both worship services, Sunday, Feb. 26^th.

 

The transition process will then take another step forward towards the installation of our new Pastor on Sunday, July 1^st.

 

As Pastor it has been my privilege to lead us into the 21st century.  A beachhead has been firmly established, now we must more forward together into the future God has prepared for us.

 

While Belle and I are in Hawaii, Jackie will have a two-month taste of the ministry to which he has been called.  When we return in May, I will have a few weeks in which to share my hopes and prayers for our future together.  In the mean time I invite you to join me in prayer for this process -- specifically, that the Father's will may be done in His way, in His time, and for His glory.
